Bro.
John felt the call to start preaching in the Open-Air in 1993 at the
University of Alabama where he attended school. He was a Campus Pastor at the University of Louisiana in Monroe, and at Auburn
University where he met his wife Ellen. In April
of 1998, Bro. John and Sis. Ellen answered the call to go full time "into
the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be
filled" (Luke 14:23). So they stepped out by faith, selling most of their
possessions and moving from campus to campus in an RV. During this time
they experienced God's blessings living totally by faith as the Lord met
all of their financial needs, many times through unexplainable and amazing
events.
In 2003 Bro. John and Sis. Ellen felt the need to concentrate on a
particular university campus in the country. After much prayer, they
settled in Athens, GA - home of the Georgia Bulldogs.
Bro. John is also a Cancer Survivor. In 2004 he was diagnosed with B-Cell
Lymphoma and went through Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments. This
interrupted his ministry on campuses and churches for about a year when
his cancer went into remission.
Bro. John is licensed with the Congregational Holiness Church in
North Georgia and is involved with
Full Life Campus Ministry.
He has graduated from Southwest Bible College and Seminary with a Bachelor
of Arts in Theology, a Masters of Arts in Theology, and a Doctorate in
Theology. Sis.
Ellen graduated from Auburn University in 1997 with a degree of Bachelor
of Science in Computer Science.
